We are seeking a Quality Engineer with hands-on foundry experience to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring the highest quality standards throughout our casting and machining processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and improve quality systems in a high-volume foundry environment.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for internal and customer quality issues.
- Conduct regular process audits, dimensional inspections, and metallurgical testing as required.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure compliance with ISO/IATF standards.
- Manage PPAP submissions, FMEA documentation, and control plans.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives such as Six Sigma, 5S, and lean manufacturing practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Metallurgical, Industrial or related field).
- Minimum 3-5 years quality engineering experience in a foundry or casting environment.
- Strong understanding of metal casting processes (sand casting, investment casting, die casting, etc.).
- Familiarity with inspection techniques, measurement tools (CMM, gauges), and quality software.
- Experience with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or other relevant quality standards.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Certification in Six Sigma, ASQ CQE, or similar.
- Knowledge of customer-specific requirements (e.g., automotive standards).
