Join a specialist manufacturing team and grow your career in a unique industry! A well-established manufacturing company based in Redditch is currently looking for a Rolling Mill Setter / Operator to join their busy and supportive team.
Hours: Monday-Thursday: 08:00-16:30, Friday: 08:00-15:00 (Some overtime opportunities available)
The Role: As a key member of our production team, you'll be trained to:
- Set and operate rolling mills and slitting (shearing) machines
- Load furnaces
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced factory environment
Don't worry if you're new to the industry - full and comprehensive training will be provided for the right candidate!
Requirements:
- GCSE Grade C / Level 4 or above in Maths and English (or international equivalent)
- Strong mechanical aptitude (you'll be tested on this at interview)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and ideally ERP systems like SAP
- Willingness to work overtime at short notice
It's a bonus if you have:
- Experience in the metal industry (especially with strip/coiled metals)
- Previous experience with rolling mills or slitting machines
