Head Chef/Kitchen Manager in Burton Staffordshire

Salary – Up to £40k plus Bonus

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all kitchen operations, including stock management, ordering, deliveries, and inventory control.
• Lead, train, schedule, and support a team of chefs, fostering a positive and professional kitchen culture.
• Manage food costs, monitor margins, and control wastage to achieve business targets.
• Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
• Collaborate closely with the front-of-house and management team to deliver a brilliant guest experience.
• Support menu development and rollouts, ensuring consistency and quality across the team.

What Were Looking For

• Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Senior Sous Chef, or similar role in a fast-paced, high-quality kitchen.
• Strong leadership skills and a passion for building and supporting great teams.
• Excellent organisational abilities and a drive for efficient kitchen systems.
• Commercial awareness with experience managing food costs, GP, and supplier relationships.
• Calm, solutions-focused mindset under pressure.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and compliance standards
• A collaborative, hands-on approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
