Job Title: Financial Accountant

Location: Hybrid (2 days on-site in Birmingham, 3 days remote)
Salary: £40,000 – £60,000 per annum

As they continue to expand, they are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Financial Accountant to join the team. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP.
• Perform reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Support in the preparation of management reports, financial forecasts, and budgets.
• Assist in the preparation of VAT returns and other statutory filings.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure financial data accuracy and timely reporting.
• Identify areas for improvement in financial processes and implement efficient solutions.
• Provide financial analysis to support business decision-making.
• Liaise with external auditors during the annual audit process.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent) with a strong understanding of UK accounting regulations.
• Proven experience as a Financial Accountant or in a similar financial role.
• Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel; knowledge of [specific software used] is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
