Job Title: Financial Accountant
Location: Hybrid (2 days on-site in Birmingham, 3 days remote)
Salary: £40,000 – £60,000 per annum

We are recruiting on behalf of a company based in Birmingham, who are committed to delivering high-quality services to our clients. As they continue to expand, they are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Financial Accountant to join the team. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP.
- Perform reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Support in the preparation of management reports, financial forecasts, and budgets.
- Assist in the preparation of VAT returns and other statutory filings.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure financial data accuracy and timely reporting.
- Identify areas for improvement in financial processes and implement efficient solutions.
- Provide financial analysis to support business decision-making.
- Liaise with external auditors during the annual audit process.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent) with a strong understanding of UK accounting regulations.
- Proven experience as a Financial Accountant or in a similar financial role.
- Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel; knowledge of [specific software used] is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
