About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior SQL Database Administrator (DBA) with strong experience in Power BI analytics to join our client on a contract basis. Key Responsibilities:
Database Administration:
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of SQL Server databases.
- Monitor and manage database performance, including query optimisation and index management.
- Implement and maintain robust backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Enforce database security measures, including user role management, permissions, and encryption.
Data Integration:
- Support ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from various sources into the SQL Server environment.
- Ensure data quality and consistency across all data pipelines.
Power BI Analytics:
- Develop, create, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support business decision-making.
- Translate complex datasets into user-friendly visualizations and insights for stakeholders.
Performance Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
- Diagnose and resolve database-related issues efficiently.
