About the Role: Our client is seeking a motivated Fire Service and Maintenance Engineer to join their successful team. This role involves delivering PPM servicing, repairing life safety systems, and ensuring Health & Safety compliance. The engineer will work in various environments and locations, engaging with clients to provide exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Service, maintain, and install fire alarm systems (BS5839-1) and emergency lighting systems
- Complete engineer service reports accurately
- Report deficiencies in systems
- Maintain emergency lighting systems and associated equipment
- Conduct van stock checks and liaise with the Engineering Technical Supervisor and Procurement Department
- Ensure Health & Safety compliance and report risks promptly
- Aim for first-time fixes where possible
Requirements:
- Flexible approach to work (minimum 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri)
- Full UK Driving License
- Previous experience with fire alarm systems
- FIA training (or equivalent) to BS5839-1 Fundamentals
- Understanding of BS5839 parts one and six
- Good IT literacy
- Knowledge of Health & Safety Regulations
