The Cleaning Operative is responsible for delivering high-quality cleaning, hygiene, and waste management services across the site, ensuring compliance with all statutory, contractual, company, and health & safety requirements. The successful candidate will be reliable, hard-working, and committed to maintaining exceptional cleanliness standards while providing professional, courteous service to clients, tenants, and visitors at all times.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out routine cleaning duties, including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and emptying waste bins.
- Clean and sanitise desks, chairs, and other office furniture, ensuring all marks and stains are removed.
- Clean and maintain washroom facilities, including toilets, urinals, hand basins, and associated fixtures.
- Vacuum carpeted areas and undertake spot cleaning of carpets where required.
- Operate electrically powered cleaning equipment, including scrubbers, polishers, and burnishing machines, in accordance with training and safety procedures.
- Replenish consumable supplies, including soap, toilet rolls, paper towels, and other hygiene products.
- Undertake periodic deep-cleaning tasks and special cleaning projects as directed.
- Use cleaning chemicals and materials safely and effectively, following company procedures and manufacturer guidelines.
- Assist with the movement and relocation of furniture and equipment to support office moves, storage, and reconfiguration projects.
- Report any maintenance issues, hazards, or damage identified during cleaning duties to the appropriate supervisor.
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude, interacting courteously with clients, tenants, colleagues, and visitors at all times.
- Previous cleaning experience preferred but not essential.
