Location: Sunderland
Hours: Monday–Thursday 08:00–16:30 (40 hours); Friday 08:00–14:00. Possible Bank Holiday working.
Pay Rate: £13.51 per hour (increasing to approx. £14.05 per hour from April).
Holiday Entitlement: 20 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.
Start Date: Potential immediate start.
The Role
We are recruiting an Administrative Assistant to support a busy site-based management team in Sunderland. This is a hands-on office role requiring strong organisation, communication, and the confidence to deal with multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- General office administration duties
- Client Help Desk support (2nd stage triage)
- Help Desk cover during holidays and breaks
- Site HR administration support for the management team
- Managing the new starter process via the Bidvest onboarding system
- Liaising with subcontractors to request and chase quotations
- Creating and managing client quotes (manual and via TASK system)
- Controlling the TASK quote system, including reworks
- Raising purchase orders for stock and non-stock items where required
About You:
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage workload independently
- Highly organised with good attention to detail
- Comfortable working in an open office environment
- Confident approaching management for updates and information
- Previous administrative or office-based experience essential
