Pay Rate: £14.42 per hour PAYE, plus overtime paid at x1.5

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm (40 hours per week)

Contract: Temporary (3 months) with the opportunity to become permanent

We are currently recruiting for a Multiskilled Technician to join a leading engineering and manufacturing operation based in Stafford. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified engineer looking for a long-term opportunity with the potential to secure a permanent position after an initial three-month temporary assignment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on plant and equipment
  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
  • Assist with the installation, modification and upgrade of plant equipment
  • Accurately document maintenance activities and report any issues promptly
  • Follow all health, safety and site procedures at all times
  • Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to maximise operational efficiency
  • Support both planned and reactive maintenance activities as required
Qualifications
  • Qualified engineer with either an electrical or mechanical qualification
  • Previous experience working within a maintenance, manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent understanding of health and safety procedures
