We are currently recruiting for a Multiskilled Technician to join a leading engineering and manufacturing operation based in Stafford. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified engineer looking for a long-term opportunity with the potential to secure a permanent position after an initial three-month temporary assignment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on plant and equipment
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs using appropriate tools and techniques
- Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Assist with the installation, modification and upgrade of plant equipment
- Accurately document maintenance activities and report any issues promptly
- Follow all health, safety and site procedures at all times
- Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to maximise operational efficiency
- Support both planned and reactive maintenance activities as required
- Qualified engineer with either an electrical or mechanical qualification
- Previous experience working within a maintenance, manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent understanding of health and safety procedures
- £14.42 per hour PAYE
- Overtime paid at time and a half
- Monday to Friday working pattern
