About the Role
My client, a major FM business, is seeking an experienced Fabric Engineer to join our team on a temporary basis, with strong potential for a permanent position. This role is based within a large, client-facing corporate office environment. You will be responsible for delivering both reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks within agreed SLAs, ensuring high standards of service delivery and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete reactive and PPM work orders within SLA
- Carry out minor electrical works and general building maintenance
- Basic plumbing tasks (e.g., unblocking toilets)
- Painting and general fabric maintenance
- Supervise and sign in subcontractors on site
- Use a company-issued PDA and internal CAFM system to manage tasks
- Submit completed PPM documentation to the Technical Supervisor for system upload
- Ensure full compliance with QHSE policies, site inductions, and PPE requirements
- Maintain a professional and client-focused approach at all times
Experience
- Experience in commercial building maintenance
- Ability to complete both electrical and general maintenance tasks
- Experience working within a client-facing environment
- Strong understanding of health & safety compliance
- Ability to work independently and manage workload via CAFM systems
