A facilities services provider is recruiting for School Cleaners to support cleaning services within a secondary school environment in Norwich. This is a flexible opportunity suitable for candidates seeking either part-time or full shift hours within an educational setting.
Location: Norwich, Norfolk (NR12 area)
Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour (PAYE)
Hours: Up to 30 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday – Friday
Shift Options: 12:45 – 14:45; 15:30 – 19:30 (Shifts can be covered by one person or split between two cleaners)
Contract Type: Temporary
Contract Duration: February 2026 – March 2026
Responsibilities:
- Cleaning classrooms, corridors and communal areas
- Cleaning staff facilities and washrooms
- Hoovering, mopping, dusting and sanitising surfaces
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste correctly
- Following health & safety and safeguarding procedures
- Maintaining high cleaning and hygiene standards
Requirements:
- Previous cleaning experience preferred but not essential
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to detail and reliability
- Understanding of hygiene and safety standards
- Right to work in the UK
Compliance Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS Check (with relevant barred list)
- Provide proof of address
- Provide National Insurance documentation
- Provide 3 years employment or education references
- Overseas police check may be required where applicable
