Concept Resources are currently recruiting for an experienced School Cleaner to work at a secondary school in Hoveton, NR12 8QN.
This is a temporary position providing vacancy cover until 29th November 2026, working Monday to Friday during afternoon and evening shifts.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the school, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors.
Duties
- Cleaning classrooms, corridors, toilets and communal areas.
- Vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors.
- Dusting and sanitising desks, tables and frequently touched surfaces.
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately.
- Replenishing toilet rolls, soap and other washroom consumables.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic school environment.
Responsibilities
- Complete all allocated cleaning duties to the required standards.
- Follow health and safety procedures and COSHH guidelines.
- Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely.
- Report maintenance issues, hazards or damaged equipment.
- Work independently and efficiently within allocated shift times.
- Follow safeguarding procedures when working within a school environment.
Requirements
Previous commercial cleaning experience preferred. Enhanced DBS with children's barred list check required. Previous school cleaning experience desirable. Reliable, punctual and able to work independently. Good understanding of cleaning procedures and health and safety. Valid Right to Work in the UK. Available for an immediate start.
