We are currently recruiting for a reliable and professional Cleaning Operative to work at a modern office facility in Newark. This is a temporary role providing annual leave cover, offering consistent evening hours across the working week. Working independently, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and professional working environment.
Key Responsibilities- General office cleaning
- Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and dusting
- Cleaning offices, meeting rooms and communal areas
- Cleaning kitchens and welfare facilities
- Cleaning washrooms and replenishing consumables
- Emptying waste bins and disposing of waste appropriately
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Reporting any maintenance or health and safety concerns
- Previous commercial cleaning experience is preferred
- Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
- Able to work independently and manage your own workload
- Comfortable working alone
- Able to act as a key holder where required
- Comfortable using an alarm panel (training provided where applicable)
- Available to work Monday to Friday, 5:00pm – 7:00pm from 24 August 2026
- Successful applicants will be required to complete the client's onboarding process, including:
- Valid Right to Work documentation (must be presented at induction)
- Use of the client's telephone time and attendance system (mandatory)
- Ability to work as a lone worker
- Ability to act as a key holder where required
- Willingness to use the site's alarm panel (where applicable)
