We are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Manager to support a public sector organisation in Milton Keynes. This is a full-time temporary role covering sickness, with the potential to extend.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm (37.5 hours per week)

Working pattern: First 3 months fully office-based. Potential for 1 day per week working from home thereafter (based on performance). Approx. 80% office / 20% site-based work.

About the role

You will be responsible for overseeing maintenance operations and ensuring statutory compliance across a portfolio of properties, with a strong focus on M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) services.

Key responsibilities

  • Managing statutory compliance contracts across multiple sites
  • Overseeing planned and reactive maintenance activities
  • Ensuring all works meet compliance and safety standards
  • Conducting site visits and quality checks
  • Liaising with contractors and internal stakeholders
  • Monitoring performance and driving service improvements

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Maintenance Manager or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of M&E services
  • Experience managing statutory compliance contracts
  • Ability to manage contractors and site-based activities
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Standard DBS required
