Concept Resources are currently recruiting for an experienced School Cleaner to work at a primary school in Mansfield, NG19 6AA.
This is a temporary position providing sickness cover from 9th November until 7th December 2026, working Monday to Friday for a total of 20 hours per week.
The ideal candidate will have previous cleaning experience, preferably within a school or educational environment, and must hold an Enhanced DBS certificate with the relevant children's barred list check.
Duties
- Cleaning classrooms, corridors, toilets and communal areas.
- Sweeping, vacuuming and mopping floors.
- Cleaning and sanitising desks, tables and frequently touched surfaces.
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately.
- Replenishing toilet rolls, soap and other consumables.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic school environment.
- Complete all cleaning duties to the required standards. Follow health and safety procedures and COSHH guidelines. Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely. Report maintenance issues, hazards or damaged equipment. Work independently and efficiently within allocated shift times. Maintain safeguarding awareness when working in a school environment.
Requirements
- Previous commercial cleaning experience preferred.
- Enhanced DBS with the relevant children's barred list check required.
- Previous school cleaning experience desirable.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
- Good understanding of cleaning procedures and health and safety.
- Valid Right to Work in the UK.
- Available to start on 9th November 2026.
