We are currently recruiting for a School Cleaner to join our Facilities Management team at a school in Fulford, York.
Working Hours
During School Holidays: Monday to Friday, 3.5 hours a day, 17.5 hours weekly (flexible start time between 08:00am – 11:30am).
Normal hours: Monday to Thursday, 3:30pm – 7:00pm; Friday, 1:30pm– 5:30pm.
Start Date: Immediate
About the Role
You will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment throughout the school.
Duties include
- Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices, and communal areas
- Vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces
- Cleaning washrooms and replenishing consumables
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately
- Following all health and safety procedures
- Valid Enhanced DBS Certificate including the Children’s Barred List is essential
- Previous cleaning experience preferred but not essential
- Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently
- High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail
£12.71 per hour
Please note: Applications will only be considered from candidates who already hold a current Enhanced DBS certificate including the Children’s Barred List or will be happy to be put forward for an Enhanced DBS.
