Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour

Hours: 20 hours

Days: Monday to Friday

Shift: 5:00pm – 9:00pm

Start Date: 7th September 2026

End Date: 11th September 2026

Contract: Temporary Cover

We are currently recruiting for a reliable Evening Cleaner to provide short-term cover at a Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) site in Hendon .

This is a one-week cover position , working 4 hours per evening from Monday to Friday.

Working Hours

• Monday – 5:00pm to 9:00pm
  
• Tuesday – 5:00pm to 9:00pm
  
• Wednesday – 5:00pm to 9:00pm
  
• Thursday – 5:00pm to 9:00pm
  
• Friday – 5:00pm to 9:00pm
  
• 20 hours in total
  

Duties

• General cleaning throughout the site
  
• Vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors
  
• Cleaning offices and communal areas
  
• Cleaning toilets and washroom facilities
  
• Wiping and sanitising surfaces and touchpoints
  
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste
  
• Replenishing consumables where required
  
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the building
  

Requirements

Requirements

Due to the nature of the DWP site, successful candidates will be required to complete the necessary pre-employment screening, including:

• BPSS clearance required
  
• Valid Right to Work documentation
  
• Previous cleaning experience preferred
  
• Comfortable with lone working
  
• Comfortable acting as a key holder and operating an alarm panel where required
  
• Reliable and punctual
  
• Must be available for the full week of cover from 7th–11th September
  

Candidates will also be required to use a telephone-based time and attendance system to clock in and out.
