We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a facilities management team supporting a major hospital site in Enfield. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified engineer with experience in building services, healthcare facilities or commercial maintenance environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on mechanical plant and equipment
  • Responding to reactive maintenance requests and breakdowns
  • Diagnosing faults and undertaking repairs to mechanical systems
  • Maintaining heating, ventilation, air conditioning and water systems
  • Ensuring statutory compliance and accurate maintenance records are maintained
  • Assisting with plant inspections and operational checks
  • Working closely with the wider engineering and facilities teams
  • Adhering to all health, safety and site-specific procedures

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Mechanical Engineer within facilities management, healthcare, commercial or industrial environments
  • Relevant mechanical engineering qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ, HNC/HND or equivalent)
  • Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Good understanding of health and safety procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
