The Role
We are currently recruiting for an Energy Officer to support a local authority environment in Northampton. This is a varied role focused on energy management, sustainability initiatives, and supporting the efficient use of energy across a property portfolio.
Working Pattern
Based across Northampton sites (including main offices) Up to 3 days working from home (depending on meetings and business needs)
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting energy management and efficiency projects
- Monitoring and analysing energy usage data
- Assisting with carbon reduction and sustainability initiatives
- Liaising with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders
- Supporting compliance with environmental and energy regulations
- Producing reports and maintaining accurate records
Requirements
- Experience in energy management, sustainability, or a related field
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to manage workload and work independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)

- Right to Work in the UK
- References covering recent employment
