School Catering Assistant – East Grinstead – RH19 2AP

We are recruiting a School Catering Assistant to support a busy school meals service.

You will work as part of the catering team, helping with food preparation, service and cleaning while maintaining high standards of food hygiene, safety and customer service.

Duties

  • Assist with basic food preparation and the service of school meals.
  • Set up and clear down counters, dining and service areas.
  • Maintain clean and hygienic kitchen, equipment and dining areas.
  • Wash utensils, catering equipment and kitchen items as required.
  • Follow food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures at all times.
  • Support portion control, stock handling and safe food storage.
  • Provide a friendly and professional service to pupils and staff.
  • Complete other reasonable catering duties as required by the site team.
