Full-time Role: Join a busy subcontract manufacturing team where you’ll be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC press brakes and panel bending equipment. You’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality products while improving efficiency and meeting customer specifications.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Programming, setting & operating CNC press brakes (Bystronic & Trumpf)
- Offline programming using CAD/CAM software
- Operating Salvagnini panel benders
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Selecting tooling & carrying out first-off inspections
- Working with mild steel, stainless steel & aluminium
- Optimising programs to improve production efficiency
- Supporting maintenance, troubleshooting & continuous improvement
- Collaborating with production, engineering & quality teams
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a subcontract sheet metal environment
- Strong CNC press brake & offline programming experience
- Knowledge of Bystronic and/or Trumpf machinery
- Salvagnini experience (highly desirable)
- Ability to read technical drawings & understand bend allowances
- Experience with CAD/CAM (e.g. BySoft, TruTops or similar)
- High attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines
Qualifications (Desirable)
- Engineering or manufacturing apprenticeship
- CNC programming certification
