Our award winning client has fantastic opportunities for Hygiene Operatives/Cleaners to join their busy factory in Featherstone. Our client is a well established leader in the logistics market and is recruiting for Line Leaders on a temp to perm basis. Hours of work are 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm rotating weekly – These hours are negotiable – £12.77 per hour! The role is Monday to Friday - it may require you to work weekends when deep cleaning of equipment in production areas are needed.
JOB PURPOSE/PROFILE
To ensure that all Company and Customer hygiene standard requirements located internally & externally of the building meet strict standards of hygiene at all times for food safety, quality and legality whilst adhering to the companies systems, policies and procedures.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- To complete scheduled and unscheduled cleaning requirements to Company’s standard.
- Maintain a high standard of tidiness and cleanliness in all departments of the site. These areas include staff facilities e.g. toilets and canteen, offices, production and warehouse departments.
- Undertaking such other duties as may be required from time to time, that reasonably fall within the scope and grade of the post.
- Be aware of company standards, expectations.
- Promote clean as you go and work to these standards daily.
- Ensure that the site maintains a 95% score on all internal audits.
- To maintain daily cleaning sign off records if required for your department, ensuring correct and accurate completion.
- To complete all hygiene operations in accordance with H&S (including COSHH), product safety, legality and quality requirements.
- To work in a manner that promotes due care for yourself and work colleagues.
- Ensure that all risk assessments and safe systems of work are adhered to at all times.
- Ensure correct manual handling techniques are followed at all times.
- Ensure that all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn / used at all times and all defects are reported to the duty management team.
- Ensure that all cleaning equipment is fit for purpose, stored in the correct place and any missing and defective equipment is removed and reported to the duty management team.
- Ensure that clear communication between shifts, on hygiene issues are relayed to co-workers and duty management team.
- To ensure a proactive approach is made towards hygiene requirements via inter departmental communication, self-auditing and striving to be multi-skilled.
Applicants must have previous experience of working in a similar role and have the drive and ambition to achieve results. Previous experience would ideally be from within a food production environment.
