Concept Recruitment are delighted to be working with our manufacturing client based in WF14 to recruit Electrical Engineers on a permanent basis.
Reporting to the Maintenance Lead, you will be required to monitor, maintain and repair the electrical components of the production machinery to reactively minimise downtime and maximise efficient working time.
Key Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
·General maintenance duties, proactive and reactive to ensure there is minimum downtime
·Communicating details of unscheduled downtime to the Maintenance Lead and the reasons, with solutions offered
·Participating in trouble shooting and problem resolutions
·Participating in continuous process improvements
·Update KPI board promptly with relevant information to pass on to your work colleagues
·Maintaining regular communication talks with the machine supervisor and other team leaders to discuss any relevant issues
·Ensuring comprehensive information, both verbal and written, is carried out between shifts to ensure efficient and smooth handover to other maintenance staff and the Maintenance Lead
·Carrying out routine maintenance schedules to the maintenance schedule plan PPM
(preventative planning maintenance)
·Regularly checking the computer SFOL (shop floor on-line) to ensure current machines are all running
·Prioritising production stoppages over daily duties
·A time served fitter/engineer or have a City & Guilds certificate (or equivalent) in
Mechanical Engineering
·Significant experience in fault finding, repair and general maintenance of machinery, hydraulics and other production associated systems
·Excellent communication skills and the ability to work positively in a team environment
·Detailed relevant health and safety knowledge
·Ability to attempt most aspects of mechanical engineering with little direction
·Good at diagnosing faults quickly & accurately
·Thorough understanding with all aspects of pneumatics and hydraulics
·Competent using MIG, TIG and electric arc welding equipment
