Overview

A Maintenance Engineer for a well-established food manufacturing business in Featherstone. This is a full-time, permanent role offering long-term stability within a busy FMCG environment. This position would suit a mechanically or electrically biased engineer with experience in manufacturing or packaging, looking for a stable Monday–Friday role with no nights.

Responsibilities

  • Planned and reactive maintenance on production and packing equipment
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
  • Responding quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime
  • Carrying out machine adjustments, size changes, and set-ups
  • Completing PPMs and maintenance documentation
  • Supporting continuous improvement and occasional project work
  • Working safely at all times and following site procedures

What We’re Looking For

  • NVQ Level 3 / ONC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in FMCG, food, or packaging environments preferred
  • Comfortable working with mechanical and basic electrical systems
  • Experience with packaging machinery is advantageous (training provided)
  • Proactive mindset and strong fault-finding ability
  • Good communication and decision-making skills
  • You do not need experience with every machine listed to apply
