We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Miller to join a well-established engineering business based in Huddersfield. This is a great opportunity for a skilled machinist to work with high-spec machinery in a precision engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and operate CNC machines to carry out precision machining operations
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Select, install, and set cutting tools, fixtures, and work holding equipment
- Monitor machining processes to ensure quality and adherence to specifications
- Adjust machine settings to maintain accuracy and product quality
- Inspect finished components to ensure they meet required tolerances
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining or quality issues as they arise
- Mazak turning experience is preferred but not essential
- SCHARMANN Twin Pallet Horizontal & Depo 1212 – Heidenhain control
- Depo 1212 Machining Centre – Heidenhain TNC 530 control
- Previous experience as a CNC Miller or in a similar machining role
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Strong understanding of machining principles and mechanical processes
- Familiarity with tooling, power tools, and hand tools used in machining
- Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Knowledge of SolidWorks and CAD software would be advantageous
