Transport Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supporting daily transport and shunting operations across the site.

The role ensures trailers, vehicles and resources are managed safely and efficiently, supporting smooth warehouse and production activities.

Working closely with site teams, the Transport Coordinator will plan and prioritise trailer movements, monitor vehicle locations and ensure operational requirements are met without disruption.

  • Coordinate daily transport and shunting activities across the site.
  • Plan and prioritise trailer movements to ensure trailers are positioned correctly and available when required.
  • Maintain accurate awareness of trailer locations and vehicle movements.
  • Ensure sufficient availability of empty trailers to support operational requirements.
  • Work closely with warehouse and production teams to prevent delays caused by poor trailer management or resource allocation.
  • Support the on-site shunting team and provide direction to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor operational priorities throughout each shift and respond to changing requirements.
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety across all transport activities.
  • Complete any required transport administration and operational records.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in transport, logistics, yard operations or shunting environments.
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to work with drivers, warehouse teams and site management.
  • Flexible approach to working rotational AM and PM shifts.
  • Experience with trailer movements or yard management is highly desirable.
