We are looking for an experienced scrap metal recycling operative to join a busy yard based in Sheffield S9. This is a temporary to permanent position working 7.30am to 4.30 pm Monday to Friday. Starting rate £14.00 per hour. Previous experience in processing, sorting and grading ferrous and non-ferrous metals is essential. Experience on Fork lift (counterbalance) or grab crane would be an advantage.
Duties will include:
- Assisting with loading and unloading
- Processing scrap - Shearing/burning etc
- Sorting materials by type
- Maintaining good housekeeping and safe working environment
- Assisting other operatives
