Concept Recruitment are delighted to be working with our Leeds based manufacturing client to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk on a permanent, full time basis. Working as part of a small team you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate processing of supplier invoices, maintaining clean and up-to-date ledgers, and supporting the wider finance function.
What you’ll be doing:
- Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring correct coding and authorisation
- 3-way matching of invoices to purchase orders and goods received notes
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
- Preparing and managing payment runs (BACS) in line with agreed schedules
- Handling supplier queries and building strong working relationships
- Supporting month-end tasks including accruals, aged creditor reporting
- Ensuring compliance with VAT rules and internal financial controls
- Supporting Financial Controller with holiday cover
You will need:
- Experience in a Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable role is essential
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise workload
- Good working knowledge of Excel and accounting software
- Understanding of financial controls and invoice processing
