Role: Are you experienced with CNC press brakes and looking for your next move in a fast-paced sheet metal environment? This could be the role for you.

The Role: Join a busy subcontract manufacturing team where you’ll be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC press brakes and panel bending equipment. You’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality products while improving efficiency and meeting customer specifications.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Programming, setting & operating CNC press brakes (Bystronic & Trumpf)
  • Offline programming using CAD/CAM software
  • Operating Salvagnini panel benders
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Selecting tooling & carrying out first-off inspections
  • Working with mild steel, stainless steel & aluminium
  • Optimising programs to improve production efficiency
  • Supporting maintenance, troubleshooting & continuous improvement
  • Collaborating with production, engineering & quality teams

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a subcontract sheet metal environment
  • Strong CNC press brake & offline programming experience
  • Knowledge of Bystronic and/or Trumpf machinery
  • Salvagnini experience (highly desirable)
  • Ability to read technical drawings & understand bend allowances
  • Experience with CAD/CAM (e.g. BySoft, TruTops or similar)
  • High attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines

Qualifications (Desirable):

  • Engineering or manufacturing apprenticeship
  • CNC programming certification
