Overview
A Maintenance Engineer for a well-established food manufacturing business in Featherstone. This is a full-time, permanent role offering long-term stability within a busy FMCG environment.
Role
- You'll play a key part in reducing downtime and supporting production through a mix of reactive and planned maintenance, working closely with production teams.
- Planned and reactive maintenance on production and packing equipment.
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
- Responding quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime.
- Carrying out machine adjustments, size changes, and set-ups.
- Completing PPMs and maintenance documentation.
- Supporting continuous improvement and occasional project work.
- Working safely at all times and following site procedures.
What We're Looking For
- NVQ Level 3 / ONC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in FMCG, food, or packaging environments preferred.
- Comfortable working with mechanical and basic electrical systems.
- Experience with packaging machinery is advantageous (training provided).
- Proactive mindset and strong fault-finding ability.
- Good communication and decision-making skills.
