Overview

A Maintenance Engineer for a well-established food manufacturing business in Featherstone. This is a full-time, permanent role offering long-term stability within a busy FMCG environment.

Role

  • You'll play a key part in reducing downtime and supporting production through a mix of reactive and planned maintenance, working closely with production teams.
  • Planned and reactive maintenance on production and packing equipment.
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Responding quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime.
  • Carrying out machine adjustments, size changes, and set-ups.
  • Completing PPMs and maintenance documentation.
  • Supporting continuous improvement and occasional project work.
  • Working safely at all times and following site procedures.

What We're Looking For

  • NVQ Level 3 / ONC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in FMCG, food, or packaging environments preferred.
  • Comfortable working with mechanical and basic electrical systems.
  • Experience with packaging machinery is advantageous (training provided).
  • Proactive mindset and strong fault-finding ability.
  • Good communication and decision-making skills.
  • (You do not need experience with every machine listed to apply.)
