Our client, a well-established leader in the logistics market, is recruiting for a Line Leader on a temporary-to-permanent basis at their Minworth depot. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing production lines and labour to ensure planned volumes and commercial targets are achieved while maintaining high standards of quality, health and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage production lines and labour to meet hourly and daily production targets
- Motivate and lead a team to achieve production targets
- Ensure finished products meet client specifications
- Maximise production efficiency and minimise waste
- Monitor and report Health & Safety issues
- Promote and maintain company Health & Safety and quality standards
- Ensure all paperwork and management systems are completed accurately
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and ensure compliance with internal and external audits
- Ensure GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and clean-as-you-go housekeeping standards are followed
- Liaise with agency controllers regarding agency workers and provide feedback where required
- Attend team leader meetings
- Assist with the training and development of new starters
- Act as a role model for best practice and professional standards
- Play an active role in continuous improvement
- Conduct return-to-work and disciplinary interviews where required
- Participate in the company appraisal process
- Take responsibility for your own development through training and work-based experience
