Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4.30pm and Friday, 8am to 1pm

Concept Recruitment are delighted to be working with our Leeds based manufacturing client to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk on a permanent, full time basis. Working as part of a small team you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate processing of supplier invoices, maintaining clean and up-to-date ledgers, and supporting the wider finance function.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring correct coding and authorisation
  • 3-way matching of invoices to purchase orders and goods received notes
  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
  • Preparing and managing payment runs (BACS) in line with agreed schedules
  • Handling supplier queries and building strong working relationships
  • Supporting month-end tasks including accruals, aged creditor reporting
  • Ensuring compliance with VAT rules and internal financial controls
  • Supporting Financial Controller with holiday cover

You will need:

  • Experience in a Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable role is essential
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise workload
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and accounting software
  • Understanding of financial controls and invoice workflows
