Concept Recruitment is recruiting a Maintenance Engineer for a well-established food manufacturing business in Featherstone. This is a full-time, permanent role offering long-term stability within a busy FMCG environment.
This position would suit a mechanically or electrically biased engineer with experience in manufacturing or packaging, looking for a stable Monday–Friday role with no nights.
The Role
You’ll play a key part in reducing downtime and supporting production through a mix of reactive and planned maintenance, working closely with production teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planned and reactive maintenance on production and packing equipment
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
- Responding quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime
- Carrying out machine adjustments, size changes, and set-ups
- Completing PPMs and maintenance documentation
- Supporting continuous improvement and occasional project work
- Working safely at all times and following site procedures
What We’re Looking For
- NVQ Level 3 / ONC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Experience in FMCG, food, or packaging environments preferred
- Comfortable working with mechanical and basic electrical systems
- Experience with packaging machinery is advantageous (training provided)
- Proactive mindset and strong fault-finding ability
- Good communication and decision-making skills
