Secondary Supervisor – Warehouse Operations Location: Castleford, WF10 Contract: Permanent Shift Pattern: Rotating Days & Lates Salary:

  • Days: £13.75 per hour
  • Lates: £14.25 per hour
  • Overtime Monday–Saturday: £18.29–£18.95 per hour
  • Overtime Sunday: £20.63–£21.38 per hour
  • Bank Holidays: £20.63 per hour

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Secondary Supervisor to join our client’s warehouse team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with supervisory experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and supporting a team to achieve operational targets.

Working alongside the Shift Supervisor, you will help oversee the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring operations are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

The Role

  • Support the Shift Supervisor with the management of warehouse operations.
  • Lead, motivate and support Warehouse Operatives to achieve daily targets and KPIs.
  • Allocate and monitor workloads based on operational requirements.
  • Ensure all health & safety procedures and safe working practices are followed.
  • Support with staff training, inductions and development.
  • Monitor stock accuracy and assist with inventory control.
  • Liaise with drivers, customers and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Complete administration tasks to support daily performance.
  • Assist with loading and unloading vehicles, checking goods received and dispatched.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
  • Provide cover for the Shift Supervisor during periods of absence.

About You

  • Previous warehouse supervisory or team leader experience is desirable.
  • A valid FLT licence is essential.
  • PPT experience is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Good attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Positive, flexible attitude with the ability to use your own initiative.
