The Role
As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll be a key part of a small, busy, customer-facing team. You’ll be installing, maintaining, and servicing a range of CNC and manual machinery across varied customer sites, from small workshops to large blue-chip organisations.
You’ll also:
- Represent the company with a confident, “can-do” attitude
- Ensure high standards of health & safety
- Support business growth by identifying new opportunities
- Deliver excellent customer service, even in challenging situations
- There may occasionally be a requirement to travel abroad for periods of 2 to 3 weeks (America and France mainly)
About You
- Experienced with CNC & manual machine installation and maintenance
- Comfortable working at heights, in machine pits, and across varied environments
- Strong organisational & interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Willing to stay away from home when required
- Committed to learning and growing with the business
Skills & Experience
- Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent (preferred)
- Experience with milling machinery (manual & CNC)
- Mechanical fitting, fault finding & machine tool alignment
- Gearbox assembly & bevel gear meshing (essential)
- Ability to read mechanical, hydraulic & electrical drawings
- Basic electrical & hydraulic knowledge
- Good IT skills (Microsoft Office)
- Full UK driving licence
