  • Carry out mechanical snagging and improvement works within manufacturing and production line environments
  • Work with site utilities including compressed air, steam and water systems, within agreed limits of design and competence
  • Operate or support the use of fabrication and workshop equipment, including cutting, welding, drilling and machining tools
  • Support Project Managers, client teams and site personnel during project delivery
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with client site rules, company procedures, industry regulations and quality standards
  • Communicate professionally with clients, Project Managers and other site personnel

Previous experience in a similar hands-on mechanical role is required, along with a recognised apprenticeship or time-served background in mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline. Strong understanding of machining processes, engineering material properties, engineering design principles, and good engineering practices is essential.

Additional skills include:

  • Ability to organise sub-componentry for assemblies where required
  • Ability to design bespoke solutions for the client or the needs of a Project Manager
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills, including the ability to write reports and interact with spreadsheets
