This superb, full-time Solutions Designer role supports increased demand from high-profile projects and business change initiatives within our leading financial services client. Your role involves collaborating with internal teams and external partners to design, prototype, and guide the delivery of solutions that meet user needs, adhere to design principles, and align with Brand Guidelines. You will lead technical design processes, promote good user experience, ensure solutions are fit for purpose, meet business and system requirements, and are transitioned into BAU operations.
Accountabilities include:
- Understanding, evaluating, and challenging IT system requirements from SMEs and Business Analysts to produce clear, fit-for-purpose system design documents.
- Defining solution options and making recommendations for evidence-based decision-making.
- Creating and maintaining system design collateral aligned with architectural blueprints, design principles, and brand guidelines.
- Ensuring system designs adhere to documented patterns, standards, and governance frameworks.
- Controlling interaction and integration designs to maintain the integrity of the user journey throughout delivery.
Ideal experience:
- Recent experience in IT system design and/or software development.
- Road mapping and solution design skills.
- Experience with UML, C4-Model (conceptual level).
- Supporting architects in creating ‘Solution Vision’.
- Awareness of ITIL v4 & COBIT frameworks.
- Knowledge of various software development methodologies.
- Strong communication skills for technical content.
- Stakeholder relationship management.
- Experience with API, backend system integration, databases, and ETL processes.
- Experience with AWS/Azure Cloud and on-premises hosting (at least one project).
- Web app and infrastructure security knowledge.
- Understanding Non-Functional Requirements.
- Front-end exposure.
