  • Position: Commercial Refrigeration Engineer (Working with smaller systems in Supermarket Environments)
  • Location: South Wales (Bridgend – Chepstow)
  • Contracted Hours: 45 Hours per week
  • Salary: £42,000 - £45,000 Basic + circa £3,000 Standby Allowance = Circa Salary before any worked overtime £44,000 - £47,000
  • Oncall: 1 in 5 (May vary from area to area) - (Only oncall until 20:00)

Main duties of the role:

  • Take ownership of your assigned stores, building strong relationships and meeting new people in your area.
  • Receive calls through your company-issued laptop and effectively plan your day to meet business demands.
  • Carry out refrigeration engineering activities with minimal supervision, maintaining agreed standards and priorities.
  • Monitor and take necessary actions for outstanding calls exceeding 2 days, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Regularly review and maintain van stock holding.
  • Adhere to company procedures, processes, and working practices.
  • Fulfill reasonable requests from colleagues and management.
  • Engage with a wide variety of equipment, from integral freezers to remote packs and more.

Skills/Experience Required:

  • Previous experience as an Engineer in commercial refrigeration.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Full driving license.
  • Technical proficiency in cold room and integral case maintenance, seeking support for more complex fault finding.

  • Basic Salary of up to £42,000 - £45,000 per annum.
