Part of the Celnor Group, a UK-based environmental services group operating across the Testing, Inspection, Certification and Compliance (TICC) landscape, Celnor provides essential services that protect people, property and the environment.
This role is central to the day-to-day success of the business and contributes directly to operational performance and customer outcomes. As a Trainee Mechanical HVAC Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting experienced engineers on site, assisting with the installation, commissioning and maintenance of mechanical and HVAC systems. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a technical environment and enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and making a tangible impact.
What you will do:
- Travel UK-wide to work on commercial and domestic buildings (daily meet-up point with engineer before travelling to site).
- Assist with heating, cooling, ventilation and domestic water systems.
- Support air and water system balancing using calibrated precision equipment.
- Assist with flow rate calculations, pre-commission cleaning and system disinfection.
- Support water treatment-related tasks as required.
- Follow health & safety procedures while working collaboratively to maintain quality and compliance.
Who you are:
You are a motivated and reliable individual with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. You enjoy hands-on work, are comfortable with physical tasks, and are keen to develop technical skills within a structured training environment.
Essential requirements:
- Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
- Willingness to work away from home Monday–Friday when required (all hotel and subsistence costs covered).
- Good mathematical ability.
- Strong communication skills and confidence liaising with customers.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work on your own initiative.
- Positive attitude towards health, safety and good working practices.
