About the Role
In this role, you will provide high-quality, person-centred support to clients with complex behaviours, Autism, Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), mental health conditions to name a few. You’ll work closely with individuals in their own homes to enhance their independence, quality of life, and community participation.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting with daily living tasks, personal care, and medication support
- Assisting with bowel care, stoma care, PEG feeding & urinary catheter support
- Providing transportation for appointments, shopping, and social activities
- Implementing positive behaviour support strategies to manage complex behaviours
- Supporting clients in achieving their NDIS goals, promoting inclusion and empowerment
We are seeking experienced professionals who:
- Have a minimum of 1+ years of experience in disability support, specifically working with complex and challenging behaviours
- Hold a Certificate IV in Disability Support, Aged Care, or Community Services (preferred)
- Have a background in mental health, intellectual disabilities, and high-support needs
- Are trained in restrictive practices, positive behaviour support (PBS), and trauma-informed care
- Possess excellent communication and de-escalation skills
- Hold a current Australian driver’s licence and have access to your own reliable vehicle
