About the Role

In this role, you will provide high-quality, person-centred support to clients with complex behaviours, Autism, Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), mental health conditions to name a few. You’ll work closely with individuals in their own homes to enhance their independence, quality of life, and community participation.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Supporting with daily living tasks, personal care, and medication support
  2. Assisting with bowel care, stoma care, PEG feeding & urinary catheter support
  3. Providing transportation for appointments, shopping, and social activities
  4. Implementing positive behaviour support strategies to manage complex behaviours
  5. Supporting clients in achieving their NDIS goals, promoting inclusion and empowerment

We are seeking experienced professionals who:

  1. Have a minimum of 1+ years of experience in disability support, specifically working with complex and challenging behaviours
  2. Hold a Certificate IV in Disability Support, Aged Care, or Community Services (preferred)
  3. Have a background in mental health, intellectual disabilities, and high-support needs
  4. Are trained in restrictive practices, positive behaviour support (PBS), and trauma-informed care
  5. Possess excellent communication and de-escalation skills
  6. Hold a current Australian driver’s licence and have access to your own reliable vehicle
