The Opportunity: We’re hiring on behalf of a highly respected UK investment firm with a growing group of entrepreneur-led businesses in the professional and people-based services space. As Group CFO/FD, you’ll work directly with the founders and investors to drive financial leadership across the platform, supporting individual portfolio companies through exit readiness, value creation, and long-term strategic planning. This is a key role for a commercially minded finance leader who has hands-on experience preparing companies for private equity exits, and wants to operate across multiple high-potential businesses.
What You’ll Do:
- Act as the Group-level finance lead across a growing portfolio of people-focused service businesses
- Support individual portfolio company CFOs and founders on:
- Exit readiness and financial structuring
- Reporting and KPI alignment
- Investor-facing materials and diligence processes
What You’ll Bring:
- Proven experience as CFO or Group FD in a multi-entity environment (bonus: professional services / people-based sectors)
- Private equity exit exposure at portfolio level (ideally more than one transaction)
- Able to operate across strategic and operational finance: from investor reporting to hands-on controls
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent
- Comfortable in fast-paced, founder-led businesses with lean teams
