The role is a Threat Assessment Manager, UK, embedded with a client in the United Kingdom. This position allows for remote work arrangements from the United Kingdom. This is a full-time position with a typical schedule of four 10-hour days and occasional weekend shifts as duties demand.
The Threat Assessment Manager will be responsible for comprehensive threat assessment management for client staff and operations, contributing to and protecting client culture and business interests. This role provides behavioral threat assessments, case management, and other related security management services to address external threats to the client company. The scope includes threats to life safety of the company, employees, and partner community as directed by the client. Duties are performed using client-supplied equipment, network access, and information platforms.
Tasks include:
- Application of subject matter expertise
- Adherence to prescribed program policies and procedures
- Coordination with cross-functional program groups to provide immediate and collaborative incident management when needed
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive threat research regionally
- Identify, investigate, analyze, and manage global threats to executive staff and employees
- Produce actionable and concise threat analysis products in a timely manner to inform cross-functional groups, executive staff protection, and enterprise-wide security operations
- Work with and guide open-source intelligence analysts, utilizing law enforcement databases, social media platforms, and the deep/dark web for known and potential threats impacting executive staff, employees, or the business partner community
- Manage safety and security team relationships with local law enforcement partners and other investigative, research, and intelligence groups and vendors
- Collaborate with the client’s customer service team on threats
- Maintain global situational awareness of potential and developing threats and prepare impact analyses
- Work on complex security incidents with multiple stakeholders, including those without experience in threat and intelligence fields
- Lead regional cross-functional program syncs to educate and develop improved threat capabilities
- Assist in program development with workflow creation, threat methodology research, and other planning products
- Foster a team-focused approach to problem-solving
- Communicate effectively with audiences ranging from senior executives to entry-level employees
- Translate complex security issues into clear, actionable information for specific audiences
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions
Required Qualifications:
- Must be able to legally work in the country where this position is located without visa sponsorship
- Up to 10% travel
- 3–5 years of experience in threat analysis, ideally behavioral threat assessment and threat management
- Experience supporting a comprehensive threat management program and conducting investigations, intelligence collection, analysis, and case management
- Extensive experience with open-source research, criminal background information, and online investigative techniques
- Current member (or ability to become a member) of professional threat assessment organizations (e.g., Association of Threat Assessment Professionals)
- Ability to work non-traditional hours (nights, weekends, holidays) and respond to emergent or time-sensitive situations
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to build partnerships and work cross-functionally
- Professional competency in Google Workspace and macOS
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Threat Manager (CTM) or eligible to sit for the CTM exam per ATAP standards
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (experience may be substituted)
- International experience or living abroad
- Regional expertise in Latin America, Asia, Europe, or the Middle East
- Data analysis

- Training and exercise experience
- Experience as incident commander
