Join Concentra as an X Ray Limited Scope & Medical Support Specialist, performing routine x-ray, medical, and testing procedures under supervision. This role involves delivering accurate, quality clinical care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring a positive patient experience with respectful and skilled colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, assist with positioning, explain procedures, and ensure safety and comfort during x-ray exams.
- Operate radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images, adjusting controls for proper exposure, and following safety regulations.
- Maintain radiation safety measures and ensure equipment functionality, reporting malfunctions promptly.
- Follow radiology workflows, document procedures accurately, and maintain equipment calibration and quality checks.
- Perform drug and alcohol testing, prepare patients for examinations, and assist with ancillary testing and procedures.
- Assist providers during examinations, perform routine medical procedures, and manage medical supplies and equipment.
- Dispense medications as ordered, maintain documentation, and ensure a clean, organized environment.
- Manage patient flow, communicate wait times, and perform clerical duties including front office responsibilities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- State-approved Limited Scope Technician certification and license, if applicable.
- CPR/First Aid certification.
- At least six months of medical assistant and x-ray experience, with knowledge of medical procedures and terminology.
- Preferred familiarity with occupational medicine requirements and customer service experience.
