Essential Skills & Experience
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Experience with configuration management tools, such as Ansible or Puppet, would be desirable.
- Deep knowledge of the following Azure services: Azure VMs, Azure Firewall, Entra ID, Application Gateway & WAF, SIEM (Azure Sentinel), Defender for Cloud, Azure Fabric, AI Foundry, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Front Door, App Service, Dev Box, Azure Data Factory, Virtual Network Gateways (VPN).
Other Technical Experience
- Strong networking, specifically software defined networking.
- Experience deploying solutions in AWS.
- Familiarity with FinOps tools (Flexera, Apptio, ProsperOps).
- Working knowledge of AI tools and services (GitHub Copilot, LLMs).
- Skilled in scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Experience with observability tools (Grafana, Azure Monitor, DataDog, New Relic) for SRE.
- Knowledge of security standards (CAF, CIS, SIEM, AIOps, DevSecOps).
- Experience assessing and migrating workloads to Azure using tools such as Azure Migrate and native platform services.
- Strong experience designing and operating Windows Server and Linux platforms across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Experience designing and supporting Microsoft 365 services, including tenant configuration, service integration, and platform-level security features.
- Solid working knowledge of Intune.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing IAM, cloud security, and governance controls, including Conditional Access and Privileged Identity Management (PIM).
- Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, including hybrid identity integration using Entra ID Connect (Password Hash Synchronization, Pass-Through Authentication) and AD FS where required.
- Strong experience designing and operating Active Directory environments, including domain and forest architecture, Group Policy design, and security hardening.
- Proven experience migrating databases (e.g., MS SQL).
- Experience of VMware (NSX-T, VCenter) would be advantageous.
- Experience with container platforms, such as Kubernetes (AKS), would be advantageous.
