Knowledge and Skills
- Experience of working in statistical and/or ecological or environmental fields, educated to degree level in a relevant subject or ability to demonstrate equivalent experience (essential).
- A good understanding of experimental/survey design and related statistical analyses; ideally experience in ecological statistics (essential).
- Able to evaluate comparative approaches to statistical analysis and monitoring design, examine implications and make justified and evidenced recommendations (desirable).
- Experience of a range of statistical techniques in R or Python (or SPSS) for examining relationships (including multivariate) between data and for inference, parametric and non‑parametric analysis, and quantifying uncertainty (Essential).
- Experience of contributing to relevant scientific literature (including responsibility for statistical analysis) and/or relevant technical reports (desirable)
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, especially in conveying complex information, data, analytical methods, and results to a range of audiences (desirable).
- Manage and deliver your work to meet agreed targets and deadlines (essential).
