Location: Requires 3 days on-site (non-negotiable), Kilburn
Contracting Authority: Government Client
Contract Length: Two-year implementation plan. Target go-live: End of 2027.
Clearance: Must be willing/eligible to be put through CTC – Must be in place prior to start.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Payroll expertise: Deep understanding of payroll processes and configuration
- Oracle experience: EBS (strong background), Fusion Cloud (at least 1–2 implementations preferred)
- Implementation experience: Minimum 2 full payroll cycles, ideally 8–10 years overall experience (flexible for strong candidates)
- HR knowledge: Nice to have (wider HR skills beneficial)
- Ability to work independently and liaise with business without constant vendor support
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement (basic, not senior-level)
- Oracle Payroll experience is important
- Oracle Fusion Payroll at least 1 cycle preferred, though not strictly essential if candidate has strong EBS experience
Desired Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Payroll, preferably Fusion 1 cycle (EBS experience acceptable if candidate is strong otherwise)
- Understanding of public sector payroll, ideally in policing
- Technical understanding of Fusion configuration and integration – how it is built, how it works, and how it integrates with other modules
- Broader HCM knowledge is highly desirable
- Ability to advise on configurable choices and industry best practices, what is standard Oracle – softer skills not seen previously – talk to a lot of stakeholders and cannot be too technical; more business talk for the stakeholders
- Strong business engagement and communication skills
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business language
- Inclusive, flexible, and collaborative approach
- Comfortable working in a reactive and dynamic environment like the Met Police
- Must build strong relationships and adapt to shifting priorities
- Good communication and senior stakeholder experience
- Strong character that can build relationships
- Has experience and can provide reassurance
