Minimum Requirement:

• Candidates must have Policy Experience this is the key part of the within an FM background

Essential:

• Extensive Facilities Management (FM) knowledge and experience, with a strong understanding of FM policy, estate management, asset management, workplace services, and public sector property management.
• Proven experience of developing and implementing policy and strategy, including leading policy change programmes, producing evidence-based recommendations, and embedding organisational change across complex environments.
• Good understanding of government and public sector delivery, including experience contributing to business cases, spending reviews, investment proposals, or strategic funding submissions.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with demonstrable experience working with senior leaders across government, local authorities, arm’s-length bodies, and industry partners to achieve consensus and drive outcomes.
• Experience leading cross-functional programmes or initiatives, bringing together diverse stakeholders to identify barriers, facilitate workshops, develop solutions, and deliver strategic objectives.
• Knowledge of strategic asset management and property strategy, including experience supporting or developing Strategic Asset Management Plans (SAMPs), estate rationalisation programmes, or wider property transformation initiatives.
