About the Company - Repairs Planner – Housing

Association: We’re supporting an established housing association who operate through Cheshire West and Merseyside, to recruit a Repairs Planner on an initial 3 month temporary contract.

This is a hybrid working role with two days per week in the office.

Responsibilities - Repairs Planner – Housing Association

  • Workload Optimization: Manage the daily scheduling and dispatch of trade operatives (e. g., plumbers, carpenters, electricians) using Resource Scheduling software.
  • Job Allocation: Match operative skillsets to the specific repair required to achieve a "first-time fix" and maximize productivity.
  • Tenant Communication: Liaise with residents to diagnose problems, negotiate convenient appointment slots, and keep them informed of progress.
  • Emergency Management: Prioritize urgent and emergency repair requests promptly, reallocating resources when necessary to safeguard tenants and property.
  • Resource & Material Tracking: Monitor stock/materials availability and coordinate with stores or supply chains to ensure tradespeople have the correct parts.
  • Performance Monitoring: Ensure jobs are completed within target times, keep accurate system records, and report on KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to management.
