Football Development Coordinator – Teacher Development (FTC)

We’re looking for a Football Development Coordinator – Teacher Development to join our Community team and lead our teacher development programme through Premier League Primary Stars. This role combines teacher development, school engagement and football delivery, giving you the opportunity to work closely with teachers, school leaders and young people across our local communities. Through mentoring, team teaching, professional learning and CPD opportunities, you’ll help create lasting improvements in PE provision and positive outcomes for pupils.

As part of our wider Football Development team, you’ll also contribute to community football programmes, coach development initiatives and impact reporting, helping us deliver meaningful opportunities both in schools and across the wider community. This is a 24‑month fixed‑term contract.

Your day-to-day

• Lead our teacher development programme– you’ll deliver high-quality PE and football-based learning through Premier League Primary Stars that supports both pupils and teachers.
• Support teachers to grow their practice– you will plan and deliver structured learning journeys through mentoring, observation, co-delivery, feedback and reflection.
• Create learning resources– you’ll develop and maintain teacher workbooks, digital resources and learning materials that support ongoing development.
• Build effective school partnerships– you will develop relationships with teachers, school leaders and education partners while creating opportunities to share best practice.
• Deliver professional learning opportunities– you’ll facilitate CPD sessions and workshops that strengthen PE provision across partner schools.
• Contribute to football development programmes– you will support the delivery of competitions, festivals, holiday provision and community football activities.
• Support coach development– you’ll mentor coaches, observe delivery and share feedback and resources that enhance coaching quality.
• Measure programme impact– you will maintain accurate records, support monitoring and evaluation processes, and help capture programme outcomes through reporting and case studies.

Position of Trust– As someone in a position of trust role involving regular, direct contact with children or vulnerable adults you will be expected to uphold high standards of conduct to prevent abuse, including sexual, physical, or emotional harm. This role requires you to keep updated with both Club and FA Safeguarding training and education.

What we are looking for

• Experience delivering PE within primary school settings– you can draw upon a competent understanding of high-quality PE delivery and physical literacy principles.
• Experience supporting adult learners– you have mentored, coached or developed teachers and can help others improve their practice.
• Knowledge of the National Curriculum for PE– you’re confident applying PE best practice within educational environments.
• Experience delivering workshops or CPD sessions– you’re comfortable facilitating engaging learning experiences for groups of professionals.
• Football coaching experience– you bring experience from community football or player development environments and hold a UEFA C Coaching Qualification as a minimum.
• Effective relationship-building skills– you communicate effectively with teachers, school leaders, colleagues and external partners.
• Experience monitoring programme outcomes– you understand how to collect, evaluate and report on impact against programme objectives.
• Commitment to inclusion and safeguarding– you believe in creating positive, safe and welcoming environments for all participants.
