Regional EHS Manager About the Role We are looking for an experienced and proactive Regional EHS Manager to lead and continuously improve Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) standards across the region. The role will provide expert advice, leadership and support to site management and employees, ensuring the effective implementation of the company’s EHS Model and maintaining a safe, healthy and environmentally responsible working environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in preventing serious injuries, occupational health issues and environmental incidents, while ensuring that EHS policies, procedures and systems remain compliant, practical and effective. Key Responsibilities EHS Leadership & Risk Management Lead the effective application of the company’s EHS Model across the region. Work closely with site leadership to promote a proactive, employee-led safety culture. Identify, assess and control workplace hazards and emerging risks. Support and promote regular Walk the Floor activities and Pre-Task Risk Assessments for non-routine work. Review risk assessments, procedures, training requirements, equipment and workplace layouts to ensure they remain appropriate and effective. Focus on the prevention of serious injuries, occupational health issues and environmental escapes. Provide practical, professional EHS advice to managers and employees. EHS Compliance & Governance Maintain and develop EHS policies, procedures and supporting documentation. Ensure EHS processes are fit for purpose and consistently applied in practice. Monitor changes to relevant EHS legislation, guidance and Codes of Practice and ensure appropriate employees are kept informed. Conduct and support audits to assess compliance and identify opportunities for improvement. Report audit findings to management and oversee corrective actions through to completion. Develop appropriate governance routines to support delivery of annual and longer-term EHS objectives. Auditing & Safety Improvement Develop and implement a comprehensive EHS audit programme involving management, operations, employees, EHS personnel and specialist contractors. Coordinate Job Safety Observations (JSOs) and ensure critical safety processes are appropriately covered. Identify trends, recurring risks and opportunities for continuous improvement. Promote practical solutions that strengthen safety performance and employee engagement. Incident Investigation Ensure accidents, near-misses, health concerns, environmental incidents and security breaches are investigated promptly and effectively. Support robust root-cause analysis and problem-solving. Ensure corrective and preventative actions are clearly identified, implemented and followed through. Use lessons learned from incidents to prevent recurrence. Training & Employee Engagement Deliver and support EHS training covering company policies, practices and procedures. Coach managers and employees to improve their understanding and ownership of EHS responsibilities. Promote employee participation in safety initiatives and awareness activities. Develop initiatives such as safety awareness talks and accident-free campaigns to reinforce positive behaviours. Build an environment where employees actively identify and manage hazards. Environmental, Social & Governance Support delivery of the company’s ESG agenda through EHS activities and decision-making. Contribute to the Group’s environmental, health and safety objectives and standards. Identify opportunities to improve environmental and sustainability performance where relevant to the role. About You You will be a confident and credible EHS professional who can operate effectively at both strategic and operational levels. You will be comfortable challenging existing practices, influencing senior stakeholders and engaging employees at all levels. You will demonstrate: * Strong knowledge and practical experience of Environmental, Health & Safety management. * A proactive approach to risk identification and prevention. * The ability to interpret and apply relevant EHS legislation, guidance and Codes of Practice. * Strong auditing, investigation and root-cause problem-solving skills. * Excellent communication, coaching and influencing skills. * The ability to remain calm and rational when working under pressure. * Strong organisational and project-management skills. * A commitment to continuous improvement. * The ability to simplify complex EHS information and communicate it clearly. * A collaborative approach to working with site leadership, employees, contractors and wider stakeholders. * Strong personal accountability and a focus on delivering measurable results. Benefits * Working hours: 08:00am to 16:00pm (Monday to Friday) * Salary: £50,000 per annum * Yearly bonus (15% of base salary) * 25 days holiday plus bank holidays * Opportunity to progress within an international group
